With New year now a distant memory, thoughts are already turning to Easter. This year Easter Sunday lands on 9th April and there is no time like the present to get organised.

With three grandsons who have allergies, we are always on the lookout for unique ideas to help them celebrate with everyone else. When this little idea was offered for me to review, I jumped at the chance to check it out before adding it to my list of shopping for easter.

In the house we have two discerning teens and three very judgemental youngsters to try out our Rabbits toychoc box and gift set. It arrived impeccably packed with enough packaging to keep the contents safe without destroying the environment – it is after all – listed as organic. Very impressed with the packaging once opened to discover a colourful explosion inviting us to open the cute rabbit decorated box. Open the lid to find a magical collection of six mini boxes to open as a little surprise.

Within each box we discovered a card with the die cut of a rabbit and an information card for that breed. This appealed to my very interested nature lover who has kidnapped all of the cards to add to his nature collection! The teens are not the target audience here, though they are great tasters. After handing the toy over to one of the younger three to build, both teens tried one of two chocolates in each box.

We have tasted our share of ‘free from’ products over the years of having a temperamental teen vegan, young gluten and dairy allergic, a nut allergy in house and a would be environmentalist! Not all dairy free chocolate meets the needs and tickles the tastebuds, but these mini nuggets of silk really are better than others we have tasted. A smooth chocolate without the usual bitter after taste of dairy free. Just the right size to munch on whilst building the little rabbit model which were poked out of the enclosed cards.

Turning to the little ones, the chocolate was scoffed before they even noticed the taste! They were more interested in getting on with the job of building the rabbits. We now have six card rabbits which had provided hours of fun already as they position them around the house, add them to family groups or read the information about each breed (between nagging for a real life fluffy version!).

This promised to be guilt free and it has not disappointed. With a range of gifts from individual boxes with less sugar than other well known mini surprises, these have something for most purses. The mini boxes come in at just £2.25 each and range up to boxes of 18 mini gifts in collections of Endangered Animals, Woodlands animals and dinosaurs.
I know we will be adding all three of the large collections to our order to spoil the grandsons this year, and will be adding the individual boxes as ad hoc gifts throughout the year.
