I was delighted to be invited and attend the launch of London’s latest outdoor pop-up bar, located at the Tower Hotel, St Katharine’s Way, London, E1W 1LD last night on behalf of What’s Good To Do.
How fortunate were we the sun was shining and I couldn’t think of any better way of spending a Thursday Summer evening especially after a hard day in the office.
My guest and I arrived and were instantly given a very warm welcome by Sebastian from the PR team, he signed us in and gave us our VIP security passes which were totally different to the usual passes you expect at a venue. They were very original, mini grass turf passes to match and go along with the whole Summer Lawn party theme so these little details were obviously all thrown into the equation of bringing the whole evening together.
Located at the foot of the iconic Tower Bridge, the Summer Lawn combines a Great British Summer theme with of the one world’s most spectacular views, making it the perfect riverside venue to soak up the sunshine.
This location was an ideal spot with amazing panoramic views.
Classic British Food was supplied by the Chapel Down Winery and Curious Brew. We were instantly offered a selection of drinks, from traditional Pimms and other Summer Cocktails. We could also go to the bar and order a selection of wines, beers or soft drinks from the menu. We throughout the evening were served with gorgeous British food consisting of Mini Fish ‘n Chips, Mini-Burgers, Toasted Cheese Bread, Scotch Eggs along with a variety of mini deserts, including Eden Mess and Bakewell Tarts. The variety was of the highest quality and certainly something to savour everyone’s acquired taste. The organisers and staff clearly paid attention to detail, the decor and set up was colourful, summery and very inviting. There was plenty of seating areas and also some deck chairs thrown in if you really wanted to relax.
The staff energy and enthusiasm was fabulous, special mention to Sebastian, Frankie & Joshua from the company hosting this event.
Organisers and staff clearly paid attention to detail, there was a DJ who played some music to suit everyone. Along with games, vendors, deck chairs, raised bar etc… all came together to culminate a traditional Summer Lawn Party experience.
Our favourite part of the evening was ordering some crepes from a Camper Van vendor (supplied by Camper Catering). We had some good banter with Jim. Camper Catering proudly displayed an old vintage Black Cab, this brought lots of attention to guests and passers-by, especially tourists.
I thought this was an absolutely fantastic event. A lovely pit-stop after a visiting any of the nearby attractions closeby.
I will definitely visit again and recommend this venue to my friends and work colleagues. A perfect venue for either a corporate party, works gathering or family celebration.
I would like to thank Tower Hotel for the invite.
The Lawn is open daily from midday (weather permitting) and can be booked for exclusive hire including food and drinks from only £50.00 per person.
