Hammocks remind me of stress-free holidays where you can completely relax and enjoy being outside in the sun and they are something I have always wanted to get for my garden. So I was incredibly excited to be lucky enough to be able to try the Ticket to the Moon king size (320x230cm) travel hammock in a beautiful blue and turquoise colour.
It arrived in a gorgeous crescent moon shaped bag (I also love that the bag comes in the same two colours as your hammock) and the first thing you notice is the quality of the product. Everything about the bag, the hammock and the moon straps makes it clear that this is a good quality product which will be long lasting and this is backed up by the fact that the hammock has a 10 year warranty on it!
As soon as I got it out of the bag I wanted to use it and luckily I found that it was incredibly easy to pitch the hammock. I had a couple of trees in my garden which I could use but you could just as easily attach them to a pole. You just need to make sure they are the right size apart (which will vary depending on the size of your hammock) and then I put the moonstrap (Ticket to the Moon’s easily adjustable suspension straps) around each tree and attached the hooks to the correct loops to make sure it was level and above the ground by at least 40cm (the set up instructions are also included in the label attached to the zip of your hammock bag). And then for the best bit – getting into the hammock and relaxing. It was bliss! As it was king size it was big enough for just me or for my husband to join and you don’t need to worry about weight as it can easily support 200kg.
Ticket to the Moon website has a range of products including a wide selection of hammocks, hammock chairs, backpacks as well as all the accessories you might need. When buying a hammock you firstly choose from six different sizes from mini (which is 150x100cm and costs £25.85) to ‘mammock’ (which is 800x450cm and costs £159.64), then you can choose from 22 colours and you can have two different colours (the main colour and then the second colour which is basically the trim of the hammock) which means it is easy to get the perfect hammock to suit your needs. The other options you get to choose is whether you want a hook (comes free with the hammock) or carabiner (an extra £8.63) to attach your hammock to either your nautical rope or moonstraps.
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and this is the perfect gift for your loved one – the king size is easily big enough for two people to relax in and with a bottle of bubbly it would be the perfect date night! I would highly recommend Ticket to the Moon hammocks as they are really good value for the quality you get.
