Thunder Review

The five piece English rock band Thunder played an acoustic session at PMT Salford yesterday and I had the pleasure of witnessing just how good they are!
I have to be truthful and admit I knew very little about them. I listened to a few of their songs before the event and did recognise a couple but that was as much as I knew of Thunder.
I really have been missing out the past 25 years (they have had 18 top 40 hits) they are brilliant. Danny Bowes, lead singer has a superb gruff rock voice, the whole band blend well together and it shows how experienced they are.
We were treated to some of the old tracks along with stuff from the new album Wonder Days released 16th February. This is a must buy for any rock and blues fans, I absolutely loved the material I got to hear.
Thunder played for around 40 minutes and interacted with the small audience throughout. We even got to sing and clap along in parts.
This fantastic band go out on tour in March and then later in the year again with but with ZZ Top on the billing too. I really enjoyed Thunders performance and am looking at buying tickets for their Leeds gig next month myself!
An outstanding British band showing just how much talent is home grown – the boys sure have still got it.
