Beautiful fragrance, a gorgeous floral display, and a plantable seed label… The Candle Brand Flower Diffuser makes a charming gift for the special people in your life.

I’ve been wanting to treat myself to a diffuser ever since I walked through a department store a few months ago, and was entranced by the wall of fragrance. But I couldn’t make up my mind which one to buy. Which brand? Which fragrance? Which bottle design? I’m delighted to say that The Candle Brand’s Flower Diffuser succeeds on all counts.

Rather than the usual reeds, the Flower Diffuser features a handmade wooden flower bouquet. Not only are the delicate petals very pretty, they serve a purpose too. Three of the flowers have reed stems, while one has a cotton rope. The rope quickly absorbs the liquid and helps disperse the fragrance for an immediate aroma, while the reeds draw on the scent more gradually, slowly dispersing it through each flower petal.

I chose the Plum and Rhubarb fragrance, and the scent quickly filled the room. It’s rich, fruity and zingy, but without being sickly or overwhelming. The Candle Brand’s website estimates that a 110ml bottle will last approx. 1 – 3 months, so I look forward to enjoying the scent over the next few months. Once it’s finished, they offer refills, so you can use your flowers again if you wish.

The flowers are pretty enough that I’d display them even without the gorgeous fragrance. The slices of sola wood are so thinly sliced that in places they look almost translucent, but they’re also hardy enough that they survived a trip from my partner’s place back to mine, after I’d visited him to show off my new interior design piece.

I love that the bottle has a wildflower seed label – it means you’re giving two gifts in one! The box includes clear, easy instructions for how to plant the wildflowers, which should include pink and red poppies, common daisy, gloriosa daisy, plus annual and perennial wildflower mixes. Germination time takes 7-10 days, so mine haven’t appeared yet, but the instructions promise an 85% success rate when planted indoors, so I look forward to a beautiful display before too long.

It’s also important to me to support independent companies, so it was wonderful to read that The Candle Brand is a family-run company. Led by 31-year old mother Christina Brand, they operate a 4 day working week – demonstrating the emphasis on wellbeing that their diffusers and candles also aim to promote.

Overall, I would recommend The Candle Brand’s Flower Diffuser as a beautiful gift for a loved one, or just for yourself. The diffuser and flower bouquet is a beautiful piece of homeware, while the fragrance is long lasting and smells great! I particularly love that the wildflower seed label will provide an ongoing floral display for potentially years to come.

There are 13 fragrances available, including scents such as Eucalyptus and Lemon, Lily and White Rose, and Dark Honey with Pepper, so I look forward to trying more in the future. Plus it’s great to see that they do special editions, such as Norfolk Gin!
