GUEST POST: Is it about the money, honey?

I recently wrote a book titled Manifest Your Infinite Riches – it is available in more than fifty countries across all continents.

The Introduction to the book starts with these words:

Yes, you are infinitely rich; you are infinitely rich because you are you!
Ignore your bank balance, worldly possessions and other “traditional” means of gauging wealth – look within yourself and you will find everything you need to manifest your deepest aspirations.
The purpose of this book is to help you find the truest expression of your own infinite riches…
One of my four mentors, Jack Canfield, whose books have sold more than 500 million copies globally and who wrote Chicken Soup for the Soul about thirty-five years ago, says on the front cover of Manifest Your Infinite Riches, ‘this is the book, we’ve all been waiting for.’

Jack also interviewed me in-person in January 2025 and in the course of the interview, a most interesting point we discussed in some detail was the role of money as a driving force on the path to manifest your infinite riches. The view we both had and reinforced to the audience was that when you live your life’s purpose, you never need to worry about the money because the money follows you. This is such a fundamental point yet understood by only a tiny minority.

We also talked about one’s life purpose thought of as your ‘Dharma’ – that special gift you have to serve others and in the process enrich yourself and everyone else you touch. In this context, I explained the idea of living your ‘Dharma’ as doing God’s work, and explaining that if we are doing God’s work, then how can we ever lack money and abundance?

A fascinating example that that exemplifies this thinking rather aptly (which happens to be a favourite of Jack’s as well) is that of Eric Liddle when he runs the final race in Chariots of Fire. The monologue in the background is along these lines – ‘God made me fast…and when I run, I feel his pleasure’. The beauty here is that Eric wasn’t competing with the other athletes – they were there to win while he was there to live an experience, which he felt in his innermost being as doing God’s work.

Furthermore, in this context, I would like to share with you an extract from the first chapter, titled, ‘Money’

I never did it for the money. Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me. Going to bed at night saying we’ve done something wonderful, that’s what matters to me.
Steve Jobs

I have this quotation framed on my desk. Every time I see it, I am reminded of an enterprise valued at $3.4 trillion that has positively impacted more than two billion people and continues to contribute to our lives every day. Yet, its founder, Steve Jobs, never did it for money. This indeed is a powerful lesson for us all.

One of the most influential philosophers of our time, Bob Proctor, who was Chairman of the Proctor Gallagher Institute until his passing in February 2022, often said the key to creating wealth for yourself is to understand that money is not the goal. Bob’s enterprise elevated millions of people across the world in his lifetime and continues to do so now. Likewise, as you set out on the journey to manifest your infinite riches, I want money to play the same role in your life. However, that does not mean money is not relevant; on the contrary, it is enormously relevant, and must be correctly slotted in its rightful place.

I have placed this chapter on Money at the beginning of the book because it is monumentally important for you to truly appreciate the role money plays and the place it occupies as you start the process to manifest your infinite riches. There is a subsequent chapter titled Money, Money, Money: Is It Really About The Money? where you will learn all about The Six Statutes of Money™.

At this point however, I would like you to have some context on the role of money to carry forward with you as you read through this book, and so, giving you a sneak peek, I am introducing you to one of these Statutes, The Rules of Receiving Money.

When you correctly identify your life’s purpose and focus on the activities it entails, with an inherent feeling to genuinely benefit everyone you interact with and serve, the money will follow you; you won’t ever need to worry about it again. This indeed is a magnificent way to live – but, this transformation needs discipline and doing certain things in certain ways to manifest your infinite riches, and become the person you were always meant to be!
