The Odd Life of Timothy is the heart-warming tale of a boy who is very different and the impact he has of the lives of the people around him.
The film is told from the perspective of Cindy and Jim Green who have to explain to an adoption agency why they are suitable to adopt and the experience they have. This experience comes in the form of Timothy Green, a young boy who came from the soil and has leaves growing on his legs.
Cindy (Jennifer Garner) and Jim Green (Joel Edgerton) really want to start a family of their own but after lots of tests are unable to have children and are trying to deal with the news. So one night while dreaming of what their child would be like plant a box with these ideas in the garden and with a bit of rain and magic Timothy (CJ Adams) appears in their house and becomes their son.
Timothy is different from other children and Cindy and Jim try their best to keep his secret and do everything they can to help him make friends and fit it but like any new parent make lots of mistakes along the way.
Overall, The Odd Life of Timothy Green is a heart-warming tale with comedy, sadness and hope that the whole family will enjoy. A well written story and CJ Adams was superb as Timothy Green and was very believable in his part.
A great family fantasy film.
