Presents Mickey’s Magic Show

Myself and my grandchildren aged 9 and 7 were lucky enough to be asked to review this fantastic production showing at the Lowry from 1st-5thof August.
The show begins by introducing the only two humans in the show Brad and Benny. Who are not unlike Dick and Dom of children’s TV Fame, and would be right at home alongside them, they were both excellent throughout. After they have explained the magic words we were to shout Brad and Benny then would invite the four main characters to join them Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy and the fun begins.
Then a series of scenes from well-known Disney films including Alice in wonderland, Snow White, Cinderella, Aladdin and Fantasia (which was our favourite), all involving magic of course. Audience participation is encouraged and throughout we were clapping, laughing, singing and shouting out the magic words.
The show is around 90 minutes long with one interval, I would say under fours are a little too young for it, but all other ages from 4-94 will thoroughly enjoy it.
We loved this show and we all left with happy smiley faces. The costumes, sets and characters were just what you would expect from a Disney production. Don’t miss it.
My only negative is the over priced merchandise, and they have you over a barrel there – how can you say no!
