Nestled in the heart of London’s Soho district, 19 Greek Street – for one night only – was transformed into the enchanting “House of Festive Spirit.” This four-story townhouse venue, known for its eclectic charm, had been meticulously decked out with distinct festive-themed rooms on each floor. Amidst this magical setting, Pernod Ricard spirits and wines took centre stage, illustrating why they make for the perfect fit at any time of year.

On arrival, we picked a bauble of Lillet off the Christmas tree, which was used to create a Lillet Rose Spritz – absolutely delicious and incredibly refreshing! Then, as guests ascended to the first floor, they stepped into a world of culinary delights, where Pernod Ricard’s commitment to quality and innovation was shining through. The wines on offer for the tasting – displayed in giant Christmas crackers – were a testament to their commitment to excellence in every sip.

In the world of wine, Pernod Ricard shines with an impressive range of red, white, and rosé selections. Their red wines captivate with bold flavours and rich textures, offering a symphony of aromas and tastes that pair beautifully with hearty meals or quiet evenings by the fire. For those who prefer the crisp elegance of white wine, Pernod Ricard delivers a refreshing experience. Their white wines are known for their vibrant acidity and diverse flavour profiles, making them the perfect companion for seafood feasts or sunny picnics – or even Christmas dinner. When it comes to rosé, Pernod Ricard offers a delightful selection that embodies the essence of summer. These wines are a harmonious blend of fruity notes and a hint of sophistication, adding a touch of elegance to any occasion.

Ascending to the second floor of the House of Festive Spirit was like stepping into a realm of opulence and refinement. Here, Pernod Ricard showcased some of its most luxurious spirits, promising an unforgettable tasting experience that left a lasting impression.

One of the most enchanting aspects of this floor was the presentation. A wall adorned with mirrors held the key to an extraordinary experience. Guests were invited to ring a bell, and like a secret portal to liquid luxury, a mirror would slide open, revealing a hand elegantly holding their selected drink. It was a moment of theatrical charm that added an extra layer of allure to the entire experience. One standout was Chivas 15, a masterpiece of blended Scotch whisky. The Chivas 75, an exquisite cocktail featuring this fine spirit, was an instant hit among attendees. Its harmonious blend of Chivas 15 and complementary ingredients created a drink that was nothing short of exceptional, embodying the legacy and expertise behind Chivas Regal. Their Italian Spritz spirit, Italicus, was a revelation in the world of aperitifs. Crafted with the finesse of an Italian liqueur, it added a touch of Mediterranean sophistication to the event.

Continuing the journey, the third floor unveiled the versatility of Pernod Ricard’s portfolio. The fusion of Christmas in September was brought to life with a captivating display of games and decorations. Amidst the warmth of twinkling lights, the drinks selection echoed this delightful juxtaposition. Here, a variety of cocktails were on offer including a mini espresso martini beckoning with the rich, velvety allure of Kahlúa. These tiny wonders were a symphony of coffee-infused sweetness, a taste of indulgence that transcends seasons. We also indulged in a Jameson Black Barrel Old Fashioned, complete with smoky and caramel notes, harmonising with the summer backdrop, reminding us that tradition can be enjoyed year-round.

As we reached the final floor, we discovered a Christmas party in September like no other. Here, cocktails like the Malibu Piña Colada, Altos Tequila Paloma, and Absolut Wild Berri Bramble came to life, showcasing the celebration’s joyful spirit. These creative libations captured the essence of a seasonless festivity, where merriment knows no bounds.

Throughout this captivating journey, Pernod Ricard’s products served as the soul of the House of Festive Spirit, embodying the essence of versatility, quality, and tradition. The event was a celebration of Pernod Ricard’s spirits and wines, showcasing their versatility and timeless appeal. From the wine tasting on the first floor to the fusion of seasons on the second, the versatility on the third, and the joy of celebration on the fourth, Pernod Ricard’s products prove why they are a perfect fit at any time of year. This immersive experience reminds us that the spirit of celebration, much like Pernod Ricard’s offerings, transcends seasons, making every moment worth toasting to.
