The Team GB Range from Aldi Review

Reviewed by Sarah-Kate Cantlie
Today I picked up some products from the latest Aldi GB range (oven glove, apron, back pack and lady’s hoody in medium), Aldi supports great British talent and these team GB products are great examples of the type of quality products that Aldi consistently offers. The merchandise is the official licenced products, as expected and offers products in the expected red white and blue colours, predominantly a lovely royal navy colour.
The lady’s hoody is a good size, the one I have is a medium and I would estimate I’m a size 10 to 12 (a 10 on a fanciful day). The sweatshirt is nice and roomy, so I would say it’s about a size 12-14, the material is really great quality, it is fleeced lined, so will definitely be warm on a cold day. The material also isn’t overly thick, which makes it quite lightweight and a good choice is the weather looks temperamental, it’s not going to keep out the rain, but it will offer wind protection and keep you cosy if the British weather drops a light shower. A light shower may seem unlikely in the reliable British summer and autumn (more fanciful thinking), but I’d definitely pick this up. The hoody is attractive, with a red stripe down the arms and the GB logo emblazoned on the large front pocket and left breast. The sweatshirt also has fashionable white stripes round the arms and white ties, to give a complete look. I love this product and it comes in his and hers, so it looks like I’ll have to buy him indoors one too.
Other items in the range include the navy blue backpack, which is larger than average for those I’ve seen, it would be useful for many occasions and would fit lots of items in. The backpack is also reasonably waterproof, so as long you’re not caught in a long downpour, the contents should survive. There’s padding in the back to protect your back whilst you wear it, a handy front pocket and very handy red loops on both the top and bottom for ease of hanging. The simple GB logo is attractive, so overall this backpack gets the thumbs up for versatility, given its size, evident durability and significant rain resistance.
I am also lucky enough to possess some team GB kitchen items, the oven glove is great, its lovely and thick, so no burnt hands, it is also longer than some, so where I usually get burnt on the wrists or lower arms, I am now well protected, shame I only have one, but that is easily changed. Then there’s the simple and attractive apron to match, it’s a lovely product with an adjustable neck strap and emblazoned across with the characteristic team GB symbol. If these products are anything to go by, the rest of the range is almost certainly top notch! Get in quick before they’ve all jumped off the shelves!
