Steiff Soft Cuddly Friends Disney Originals Baloo Review

Who hasn’t always wanted a bear with a button in their ear, it is recognisable as the symbol of exceptional quality the world over. Steiff have made a name for themselves making the very best in bears since the first in 1902 and they have been sought after by collectors ever since. Ranging from budget friendly children’s options to collectors pieces, Steiff is a name that speaks of tradition and craftmanship since 1880.

I was given the opportunity of reviewing this gorgeous Disney Baloo cuddly and I am very glad for it too. He came in the post really quickly and arrived beautifully gift packaged. Inside a big box was a lovely pastel striped paper gift bag, with soft woven handles (even the gift bag screams quality), branded with the Steiff logo and slogan, inside the bag the bear is wrapped in pastel tissue paper and laid in the bottom, just perfect for gifting straight out of the box, no wrapping needed and a stunning present.

Baloo is part of the Disney Friends collection, great for any Disney lovers and a really reasonable RRP of just £29.90, they offer an amazing introduction into the world of Steiff. available in this Disney range are also Dumbo, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Tigger and Winnie The Pooh, so if you are a Disney fan or your little one is, you could not do better than grabbing one of these little beauties for Christmas.

Baloo is a lovely size of 31cm, he is sumptuously soft, and incredibly cuddly, he is lightly stuffed so he really does give the best cuddles, he is also weighted in his bottom, legs and hands so he moves nicely and sits too. He would look great in a babies nursery sitting on a shelf and will make a best friend for life. I can just picture him being taken everywhere by an arm or leg and sharing many many adventures with a lovely little one. He looks just like Baloo from the jungle book, he has the sweetest face, he is a lovely light blue with a sweet tuft of hair on the top of his head, a cute little tail, his Steiff button and label placed proudly in his ear and a Disney, Steiff label on his side seam.

Attached to his leg are his swing tags, with branding for Disney and Steiff, and also product information, including washing instructions. These bears can be washed on a gentle 30 degree wash which is great news for parents, we all know how grubby furry best friends can become and knowing you can wash such a treasure without ruining it is a huge bonus.

If you are looking for the perfect Christmas present for a little one in your life or even a gift for a new baby, there could be nothing better than a soft cuddly Steiff Baloo or of course one of his Disney chums, he will give the best hugs and love and be that one thing that your little one will always cherish.
