Whether for everyday trips, or for times when a compact lightweight stroller is needed, the Cosatto Woosh trail pushchair is a fantastic addition for families with a young child. I got to try out the Foxford Hall design, although it is also available in 2 bird designs called Bureau and Wilding.

The pushchair was delivered in a sturdy box with handy carry handle. The eco-friendly nature of the company was revealed with the message that 34 plastic bottles were recycled to make the fabric on the stroller. Inside the box the main frame was carefully protected by foam covering any protruding parts. It had all key parts already connected except for the 4 wheels – these were very easy to slot in once the correct direction was selected. The instructions for assembling and using the pushchair were clearly written with handy labelled diagrams. The colour scheme for this version is muted autumnal tones of brown and orange, with cute images of foxes, trees and leaves. The same fox icon is even imprinted on the centre of the back wheels. There is a removable vegan leather bumper bar for extra support.

Securing our child into the pushchair was a simple job using the 5-point harness with an easy to close lock. The 2 upper straps can be positioned at 3 different heights depending on the size of the child. The angle of the seat can be adjusted using a tension strap at the back. This felt secure enough that it wouldn’t accidentally fall back as it needed 2 hands to alter. There is an additional leg support which can be raised or lowered using a press of buttons on the side. The pushchair is suitable from birth and has a 25kg capacity. The weight is 8.4kg with a handle height of 108cm.

The pushchair comes with an in-built UPF100+ hood which has an extra zipped up section to give full coverage of the child. The hood has a small clear window with a fabric covered flap that allows the ‘pusher’ to have a full visual of the child even with the hood up. The seat and all other materials are entirely removable for ease of cleaning. Below the seat is a handy mesh basket to hold a change bag or other essential items. In addition to the regular hood, there is also a detachable raincover which easily clips over giving full coverage. There is also a mesh / mosquito cover which will prevent any insects getting to the child. These both have the same brown herringbone style detail making them completely coordinating. There is also a detachable cup holder which is flexible and extends to the size of any regular drinks.

A great gadget is the extendible telescopic handle which can be pulled out when the pushchair is folded up in order that it can be wheeled along like a suitcase. Once folded, in order to return to the upright position, the autolock is moved to one side and the whole frame pulls up into position. Another handy addition for navigating through busy pedestrian traffic is a bell attached to the main handle. We used the pushchair on many different terrains and the suspension seemed smooth on all of them.

Applying the brake is done using a central foot pedal between the two back wheels. You tilt it up or down by applying pressure at the front or back of the pedal. Again this felt very secure and I had no worries that the stroller would roll when the brake was applied. Also handy is the swivel catch on the front wheels. This gives you the option to keep them in a locked position facing forwards (to stop you veering around) or the unlocked position is useful when trying to weave between awkward places.

The instructions for assembling the pushchair are easy to follow and include advice on care and maintenance. Although problems are unlikely, the pushchair does come with a 4-year guarantee once registered. It is also possible to purchase a co-ordinating change bag and footmuff with the same design.

Overall I would say the Cosatto Whoosh Trail pushchair is very well designed and a stylish, practical way of transporting your precious cargo. The quality of the pushchair is excellent and I can see it being used for many years. The price suited the excellence and I will definitely be recommending it to my friends.
