Trafford Centre North

We enjoyed a fabulous 3 course meal on a relaxing Sunday afternoon at The Swinging Bridge Table Table pub/restaurant that can be found just near The Trafford Centre in Manchester.
The décor is warm, relaxing and stylish and with quiet background music, the atmosphere was just perfect for an intimate meal for two or a family meal.
The waiter service was fabulous. Our waiter, Panos described the chef’s specials and recommendation for every course with such enthusiasm and passion that we basically wanted to try everything on the menu! The food was served at just the right speed – not too quickly that you were rushing courses, yet not too slowly that you were impatient with the wait. We didn’t feel like we were being rushed to eat and then leave the table like you do in some other restaurants – that’s not to say it wasn’t busy as there were a steady flow of customers varying from couples, older people and younger families.
We tried a new starter to the menu, duck parcels, which were in all honesty out of this world… I think if I could have had that for my starter, main and dessert, then I probably would – and I highly recommend!
Our main courses of Matured Fillet Steak and Woodland Mushroom and Stilton Risotto with grilled chicken would also be graded 10/10 too!
Panos’ suggestion of wine complimented our meals perfectly and we left full but not sluggish – a really lovely few hours with delicious food!
Although we didn’t have any children with us, it was refreshing to see a children’s menu that included healthy and nutritious options including items such as steak as well as a babies and toddlers menu – a great feature and one that shows the consideration of family needs from such a large food group.
