I was delighted to be offered this book to review. The first thing that struck me was what a handy size it is. It would fit in your handbag.

Soup is a firm favourite in our house and I especially like making it from scratch. We actually have a soup maker for this purpose. My little girl (7) can be a bit of a horror with vegetables but give her some soup and she comes back for more. She will even eat vegetables in soup smoothed out that she wouldn’t ordinarily eat. We have tried out a couple of the recipes in the book. My favourite is the tomato and basil soup. It is cheap to make, the instructions are easy to follow and tastes divine.

The best thing about it is that it is free of syns on all of the Slimming World Plans. My little girl’s favourite is the leak and potato soup. As with the tomato and basil soup it is very cheap to make, the instructions are easy to follow and it tastes so yummy. Once again it is free of syns on every plan.  As a very busy mum of three, including 10 week old twin boys, I don’t have the time to try out long, complicated recipes.  This recipe book is perfect for filling supper ideas and dinner parties alike. One final fantastic thing to mention is that my daughter, partner and I can all eat the same thing.
