My teenage son is a gamer so when I got the opportunity to review the Stealth light-up gaming keyboard I jumped at the chance. As a mum in her late 40’s all I can say is the key board looked pretty but my son has been able to provide some feedback on the keyboard features.
The keyboard arrived quickly. It is about half the size of a regular keyboard but it arrived in a massive cardboard box filled with packaging. Seems little excessive for something that is sold as being compact.
While testing the Stealth Mini, my son played popular PlayStation games such as Call of Duty and FIFA. In these fast-paced environments, response time is critical, and even a millisecond delay can be the difference between winning or losing.
The keys on the Stealth Mini provided excellent feedback, with and minimal delay, ensuring that every movement and action in-game was registered immediately. In comparison to other gaming keyboards, the Stealth Mini’s performance was impressive, offering the kind of precision that gamers can appreciate. The keyboard was tactile, responsive and provided a comfortable user experience.
The 60% layout of the Stealth Mini caters perfectly to gamers who prefer a minimalist design without sacrificing essential functionality. By removing the number pad and function row, the keyboard becomes more compact, making it ideal for gamers with limited desk space such as students at university or those who value mobility. This compact design not only frees up space for a wider range of mouse movements, which is crucial when playing games, but also adds to its portability. Many gamers attend LAN parties or tournaments, and having a smaller, easily transportable keyboard is a significant advantage.
The Stealth Mini doesn’t compromise on quality despite its smaller size. The keys are sturdy, and the body feels solid, made with high-quality materials that ensure durability during intense gaming sessions. The braided cable and customisable keycaps further add to the practicality and durability of the keyboard.
One of the standout features of the Stealth Mini is its RGB lighting. The customisable lighting effects offer a range of colours and modes, allowing gamers to personalise their setup to their preferences.
Whether it’s static, breathing, or wave effects, the lighting adds a dynamic, visually engaging element to any gaming setup. For those who game in low-light environments, the RGB lights are not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical, ensuring that the keys are always visible.
Compared to other gaming keyboards in its class and price, the Stealth Mini’s lighting options are diverse and provide ample customisation without being overwhelming.
In conclusion, the Stealth Mini light-up gaming keyboard is great. Its responsive keys, compact 60% layout, and vibrant RGB lighting make it an excellent choice for gamers who value both performance and style. While the absence of a numpad may not suit every user, those who prioritise desk space and mobility will find it a perfect fit. Overall, the Stealth Mini delivers on all fronts, making it a solid and worthwhile investment for both casual and competitive gamers alike.
