Souchef Items Review
THESE ITEMS WERE GIFTED TO THE REVIEWER FOR THE PURPOSES OF WRITING THE REVIEW. ALL THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS ARE THE REVIEWER'S OWN.
Souschef have the most interesting website,it is very easy to navigate and the pictures are so beautiful , scrolling through the website is like flicking through a glossy magazine.
Not only do they sell a wide selection of amazing gifts, tableware, ingredients and equipment they have articles on the latest food trends and some fabulous recipes, this is the perfect site for anyone who like me is interested in food .
I was sent three items from their gift section to review , they had been packed well in a cardboard box with brown paper and arrived in perfect condition.
The Wave Luxury safety matches £6.00
The matches are about 10 cm long there are 125 in the box and the box is cellophane wrapped ,it is the most stylish box of matches I have every seen
with a Japanese inspired picture on the front in blue ,white and grey and a highlight of yellow , these are the type of matches you could leave out on show and not have to hide away in a draw . I found the extra length of these matches made it so much easier to light my pillar candle that was in a glass jar without burning my fingers , I could also see these being good for lighting the fire pit . These would make a good secret Santa gift ,especially for a man if they had a log burning stove .
Pastifico Del Colle Rainbow striped Farfalle 250g £4.95
Such a lovely pack of authentic Italian pasta in striped colours that remind me of beach huts at the seaside, they are naturally coloured using amongst other things spinach, paprika, beetroot and apple.
Pastifico Del Colle is a family company and have been making pasta for 100 years using tradition methods.
This pasta really is pretty enough to give as a gift on its own or as part of a hamper, I would put it in a nice big past bowl with a lovely bottle of olive oil to make the perfect gift for a foodie friend.
World Salt Selection £22.95
A very interesting selection of four salts in different flavours and textures in a cardboard tube , each variety is in a screw topped glass jar that would look good in any modern kitchen , also comes with tasting notes and suggestions for use.
Himalayan pink salt crystals 150g a very pure salt should be used with a salt grinder or pestle and mortar.
Activated charcoal sea salt 100g good on seafood or sprinkled over bread before baking.
Persian blue salt 100g flecked with blue crystals looks good on the rim of a cocktail glass or sprinkled over salads.
Viking smoked salt 100g adds a flavour to plain food or use as a rub for red meat.
This is a great selection of salts from around the world and would make a unique gift for any home cook .
Taking another look through the souschef website , they have such a wide and varied selection of products I think I could find something here for everyone on my Christmas list this year.
