Slim Chicken Slimdependence Day Review

To celebrate Independence Day on the 4th July, Slim Chicken have renamed it Slimdependence Day and are offering some amazing deals, new product launches, prizes to be won and even a parade!

The parade will be held at their flagship restaurant at London Cambridge Circus and will feature dancers, stilt walkers, performers and cheerleaders. This will commence at 5pm.

They will also have offers including Four Tenders for just £4. There is also a holiday to New York and a £1000 shopping spree to be won. All you have to do is scan your loyalty app when you buy a Slim Chickens meal between 27th June and 11th July to be entered into the prize draw.

The celebrations will last for the month of July with a different offer each week. Week one will be 4 chicken tenders for £4, week two will be two milkshakes for £6, week three all wraps just £2.49 and Week four milkshakes are £3.

There will also be some new items adding to the menu with Buffalo Blue Cheese Loaded Fries and Caramel Flake Milkshake appearing.

To mark the upcoming celebrations, we were invited along to try out some of the items on the menu. I’ve never been to Slim Chickens before as our local restaurant is always so busy so it’s always put me off with such large queues. We decided to pop along after work on a Monday evening as we knew it would be quieter and we could avoid a long wait. My children both have autism so waiting for long periods of time is something that we have to avoid. We arrived at our local Trafford Centre Slim Chickens at around 6pm and there were no queues at all and loads of places to sit down inside.

When it came to ordering, they have the options of ordering on a self service machine or at the till. We decided to order at the till as the children wanted to discuss the menu first and having the large visual boards showing the items really helped them choose. My son, who is 9, went for the Chicken Tender Kids meal. This is £5 and you get 2 chicken tenders, chips, a slice of Texas toast, veg, a sauce and a drink. We did upgrade his drink to an Oreo Crunch Shake as he had seen these on TikTok and was really excited to try them. My daughter, who is 13 ordered an adult meal of 3 chicken tenders, this comes with the same as the kids meal but an extra tender. We also upgraded her to an Oreo Crunch Shake. My husband and I ordered a chicken sandwich meal each, again this came with chip, Texas toast, sauce and a drink. We then added a portion of 4 tenders between us. Once we had paid, we were given a table number and asked to take a seat. We were then given our drinks.

The food came out so quickly, I was so surprised by the efficiency of the service. The waiter was really helpful and polite which was nice to see. He left our mountain of food and we dug in. I was really impressed with how hot and fresh the food tasted. It really was great quality and had amazing taste. We all wolfed it down!

I asked the kids how much they enjoyed it and they were raving about how great it was and that they couldn’t wait to come back. They said it was far superior to other chicken places that we have been to before.

I’m so glad that we’ve finally tried Slim Chickens and I’m definitely going to download the app and check out the great deals that are being offered for Slimdependence Day. I would 100% recommend this restaurant to a friend and the whole family rate it 5/5. Absolutely gorgeous food!
