The Bristol Hippodrome is in the town centre of Bristol making it easy to access, with plenty of parking, as it is surrounded by the night life of Bristol.
The theatre has all of its original features, with beautiful red and gold decor and boasts a beautiful piano bar and stalls bar for pre-show and interval drinks. The box office for collection of your tickets is located next door to the theatre and is clearly signposted.
The staff at the Hippodrome were very approachable and friendly and gave excellent directions to our seats, they answered any questions with professionalism and at The Stalls bar we visited the staff were very efficient.
The show itself was fun packed, the singing was flawless, and the dancing and costume changes were glitzy. There were numerous impressive habit changes throughout the show. The actors and actresses put on an impressive show and told the story well. For those of you that don’t know the story it is about a Las Vegas Diva who upon witnessing a crime is moved into witness protection disguised as a nun. While against her wishes she helps the nuns find their voices!
I was accompanied by my husband who had never seen the show or film before and he thought it was incredible. The scenery changes were outstanding and the stained glass windows on stage were beautifully colourful and eye catching.
Sister Act is unique show as it has a cast ranging from young to elderly but contains some adult themes so may not be suitable for the whole family.
I would rate the Bristol Hippodrome a 5 and the show also a 5 as I had a fantastic evening and it left me feeling uplifted.
Tickets cost from £14.40 to £28.40 (plus £4 transaction fee).
