Santa Treats Mat Review

Reviewed by Cheryl Wesley
This Santa Treat Mat from House of Wonderland is a lovely idea to help the kiddies get ready for bed on Christmas Eve, it’s more for an older child as there are no pictures to demonstrate it’s about Christmas to help toddlers understand what they are doing.
Each one is handmade and you can see the amount of effort that has gone into making it a stylish and sophisticated mat.
The mat contains a place for Rudolf’s carrot, Santa’s glass of milk and a ‘scrumptious Santa snack’. Also to the side it has a check list to ensure all the important jobs for Christmas Eve are done, like going to bed early!
Children can also indicate on the mat if they have been Naughty, Nice, Very Naughty or Very Nice, I’m betting my kids would always mark very nice!
I just feel it’s a shame you need to read all the writing to understand it’s a Christmas mat as the colours a predominantly black and grey with a touch of orange.
To be honest, I’m from a household who loves Christmas cheese so this mat would not fit in with our decorations as it’s not got a festive feel.
This mat is handcrafted from hardboard and measures approximately 23x18cm.
I would rate it 3 out of 5 as it’s very well made but needs to be made more festive.
