There are so many options and choices these days at the supermarket and online, that when it comes to choosing a healthy cereal for the family, you can actually feel quite daunted. We always love having granola on hand, not just for easy breakfasts or as a snack component, but as a favourite shortcut meal. It’s so easy to pop it in a bowl with fresh fruit and your choice of milk or yoghurt (or dairy alternative) to make a satisfying, nutritionally dense breakfast. Remembering that the little ones like, this as an option too!
As a family, we have made our own granola in the past and while I’m all for a project in the kitchen, I’m often far too busy to make it myself, and if I’m being totally honest, now that I have discovered that “Rollagranola” cook up batches that actually taste so much better than mine, I now give up!
The “Rollagranola” granola brand is great for breakfast and snack time, it’s definitely, a kitchen cupboard staple to keep on hand. I was sent a case of 6 variations of “Rollagranola” to test and try.
There was no shortage of children and adults in our household keen to support me with this challenge and they soon made short work of trialling each flavour.
I’ll start with the ‘New Kids On The Block’, three from the “Little Rollas” bundle. All from the range are naturally sweetened, contain more than 4g of protein, are gluten and dairy free, with over 25% nuts and seeds, in conclusion and in a nutshell, this bowl of goodness ticks all the boxes and is the perfect breakfast for your little one to start their day.
The options include a ‘Vanilla’, a ‘Berry’ or a ‘Cocoa’ granola, Vanilla is based on a blend of pecan nuts, natural and kosher Organic vanilla, cashew nuts & coconut, Berry contains pecan nuts, cashew nuts and freeze-dried strawberries and raspberries. The Cocoa blend ingredients, consist of, sultanas, cocoa, cashew nuts and almonds. All three are wholesome, tasty, natural and full of honest ingredients. Each pack is 350g and I’d suggest that you weigh out the recommended portion sizes as it is so yummy it would be very easy to overeat! The pack suggests 25g for 4-6 year olds and 35g for 7-10 year olds.
Moving swiftly into the adult range, where the story began back in 2014, this is where “Rollagranola” really hits my sweet spot!
Once again we trialled 3 bestsellers from the range. These included ‘Awesome Almond’, ‘Pecan Maple Twist’ and ‘Organic & Nutty’ – these three were a perfect selection as we are all about the nuts!!
Starting with ‘Awesome Almond’ – it is what it says on the label! It is just awesome. This granola is packed with lots of almonds, cashews and hazelnuts. It has been sweetened naturally with dates and cranberries, with flavours of nutmeg and cinnamon. I found that this granola was perfect with almond milk, making this an ideal vegan breakfast.
I moved on the following day to ‘Pecan Maple Twist ’, which is full of flavour, this is an oat granola, packed full of whole pecans, with a good fruit, and nut content and I’d like to add it goes really well with natural yoghurt and berries. PS I love the little hint of ginger and the maple syrup is very satisfying. And I think this one was my absolute favourite.
Finally, ‘Organic & Nutty’, I love that this one is organic, and the amount of nuts included is very generous. There are Brazil nuts, cashews, coconut and sultanas. This is perfect for a snack box when you feel hungry mid-afternoon.
The other options available on the website include, ‘Zesty Caveman’, ‘Orange & Winter Spice’, ‘Cool Raspberry’, ‘Calm Nootropic’, ‘Almond & Pecan Crunch’, ‘Healthy Hazelnut’, ‘Absolutely Chocolate’, ‘Body & Soul Nootropic’, ‘Energise Nootropic’, Keto Caveman’ and ‘Complete Vegan Nootropic’,
In conclusion, “Rollagranola” as a brand is a game-changer for granola lovers, it’s a low-sugar, gluten-free granola that’s not only delicious and nutritious but also comes packed with wholesome energy, supporting and nourishing not only your body but also your gut. They have created a healthy, tasty granola not only for children but also for their busy parents with a blend for everyone. This is a company that doesn’t compromise on ingredients or taste. It is a premium product that delivers all the way to the bottom of the box.
I am now busy highly recommending “Rollagranola” to anyone who is looking to elevate their breakfast or snack game because, once you have tried “Rollagranola” you will not want to eat any other brands.
The main issue for me is that “Rollagranola” is almost too nice. It’s just too tasty. This is fantastic as a snack but I just couldn’t stop dipping my hand into the box one more time. Yep, I have zero willpower. For that reason, I ended up having to weigh out my daily portions and pop them into portable containers…
Also, it would be perfect if “Rollagranola” could offer a sample pack, for sale, of all the flavours to trial in a variety box, because I just want to test every single option now! However, it is possible to purchase single-portion packs individually from the Nootropic range for £2 a sample pack. These are available from the website, and in addition, you can purchase the Nootropic Granola Starter Bundle for £24, which includes the 4 Nootropic blends at a reduction of £4. You can also create your own bundle of full-size packs of “Rollagranola” and you will receive a discount of up to 12% for 9 or more packs. The discounts start at 3-4 boxes at 4% off.
Each box has an ‘Enjoyment Guarantee’ which in a nutshell states you can have a refund or a replacement box if you don’t like the product or there are any issues with your granola.
My only minor negative is that the cellophane bag inside the box is next to useless once it is opened (maybe I am too heavy handed or perhaps I should have used scissors). So I have had to decant each pack into a reusable glass jar. Usually, we use a clip-it on our cereal packaging to keep it fresh.
Rating: 5/5 (although to be honest if I could give a higher score I would!)
