Proms In The Park 2025 – Preview
A fantastic weekend of concerts for everyone!
Our Proms in the Park returns to Meyrick Park for another fantastic weekend of music, fun and fireworks with two spectacular open-air concerts!
On Friday 8 August we have our Classical Extravaganza featuring some of the best classical music ever written – including the Largo from Dvořák‘s New World Symphony (as heard on the classic Hovis advert), Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice (remember Mickey Mouse battling with a pair of broomsticks in Disney’s Fantasia) and Elgar’s Enigma Variations. Music also includes classic film scores by John Williams and instantly recognisable pieces by Sibelius, Tchaikovsky and Borodin.

Then, on Saturday 9 August, our Symphonic Smash Hits – the 80s will be a nostalgic look back to some of the biggest hits of the 80s, including classic songs by Madonna, George Michael, Elton John, David Bowie, Ultravox, The Eurythmics, Pet Shop Boys and many more. All this plus our usual fantastic fireworks and pyrotechnics!
