I recently received Paper FX – a fashion accessory craft kit. It came in packaging that was bright, attractive and easy to open. The packaging provided protection which kept the items enclosed intact. The colours of the packaging and the photos on the front showing examples and ideas of what could be made were impressive, there was also a project book enclosed which was useful. The packaging was a good indicator of what to expect the product to be like.
The instructions were simple and easy to follow as they were in pictures as well as written ‘simply tear it, crease it, weave it, make it!’The weaver, tearer, and creaser were the main parts to use and they were easy to operate after following the instructions. They were sturdy good quality, not easy to break and can be used and used again, the only thing you need to enjoy this product is paper and not a specific type of paper – any paper can be used which is great for the environment, recycling and educating people of these issues. I would say this product was value for money as it can be used and used again so there is only the initial cost. I made a pen holder but on actually using it, as it was made out of paper it was not very sustainable as a pen holder as it collapsed under the weight of 4 pens, although this could be more to do with my capabilities to make it correctly. You can create various things including bags, purses and trinkets.
A good idea for teaching children about recycling.
