One Pot Chilli Growing Kit Review

Reviewed by Gemma Gough

I’m not much of a gardener so I was a little apprehensive to receive this kit. However, I needn’t have worried.

The packaging was very attractive, a nice sized box with pictures of chillies and some words of encouragement for the less green-fingered amongst us. I thought it would be easy to wrap and make a lovely gift.

The contents of the box didn’t disappoint either – a terracotta style plastic pot with propagator lid and saucer, quick-mix compost, seeds, plant food and the all important instruction card.

The first job was to rehydrate the compost discs – having had a bit of trouble with this in the past I found the plastic bag and warm water worked brilliantly although there was a little excess water once I put it in to the pot. There were 5 chilli seeds in the kit, they are small but easy enough to handle and plant.

It took around 15 minutes to follow all the instructions and plant the seeds. Germination should take around 7 days, fingers crossed!

Overall, a great kit for the novice gardener.
