Frightwater Valley

Halloween Visitors Promised A Hell Of A Time At Frightwater Valley

Anyone looking for a truly frightening experience this Halloween should look no further than Frightwater Valley, as Lightwater Valley, near Ripon is transformed into a night time theme park of horrors on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 October.

Visitors will be able to experience a selection of terrifying rides under a cloak of unsettling darkness, be chilled to the bone when they are ambushed by dinosaurs thirsty for human prey during Raptor Attack: Live!, encounter Dracula in his Labyrinth and, new for 2011, witness an epic battle of good versus evil as the ghostly pirates of Skeleton Cove battle for eternal life.

With spooktacular fireworks adding to the explosive atmosphere on both nights, along with eerie scare zones and the Spooky UV Puppet Show designed especially for young children, Frightwater Valley should prove to be a hell of an experience.

Ashley Young, Marketing Manager at Lightwater Valley, said: "We're extremely excited to be able to introduce the blockbuster Skeleton Cove experience this year in addition to Raptor Attack, Dracula's Labyrinth and the unique opportunity to go on some of the rides at night.

"Frightwater Valley has proved extremely popular with Lightwater visitors in the past, and we believe there's something for everyone to enjoy, as the Spooky UV Puppet Show proves."

Opening as usual at 10.30am, the park will remain open until 8pm on Saturday October 29 and until 7pm on Sunday 30th October, with the firework displays taking place at 6.30pm on the Saturday and at 5.30pm on the Sunday, with entry after 1pm only £12.95pp if booked in advance (normal entry prices apply otherwise).
