The design of the cover for this CD is simple, but also quite clever – it displays a blue sky, white clouds and several hot air balloons from the viewpoint of somebody lying down looking at the sky, bringing to mind sun loungers, good weather, cold drinks and BBQ’s (all things that contribute to a relaxing day).

Now That’s What I Call Chilled, like other CD’s in the series, is a compilation of songs from a vast variety of artists. With 61 different songs, there is certainly something for everyone in this selection. The selection is divided into 3 sections (CD 1: Chilled Hits, CD 2: Chilled Beats and CD 3: Chilled Classics) and comprises of many relatively new tracks alongside some old favourites. The full track listing can be found here.

CD 1 kicks off with George Ezra’s ‘Budapest, swiftly followed by the likes of Sam Smith, Maroon 5 and John Legend. With artists such as Nora Jones, James Blunt and Coldplay also making an appearance, ‘Chilled Hits’ would definitely cater for varying tastes at a sunny afternoon BBQ. My fiancé tells me this is her favourite of the three CD’s and she particularly likes to have it on in the background whilst pottering around in the kitchen or relaxing in the garden.

CD 2 is quite different to the first with Chilled Beats from 19 different artists starting with Mr. Probs’ ‘Waves’ which is followed by Bastille, Bakermat and 808 state. This CD doesn’t cater for quite as many tastes as the first, but with Moby, Fatboy Slim and Calvin Harris on there as well it is not too bad.

CD 3, Chilled Classics, is one that will appeal to those of us who enjoy a wide range of music – with music from the very early 90’s right through to 2013, this CD will easily entertain different generations with songs like ‘7 Seconds’, ‘Don’t Leave’ and ‘Saltwater’.

Now That’s What I Call Chilled is another excellent product from Now That’s What I Call Music and I would be happy to recommend it to friends who want some music to help them relax at the end of a long day or keep them focused but relaxed whilst driving, etc…
