My sons have a number of Nerf blasters and were really excited when I told them that we were receiving the Nerf Zombie Strike Flipfury Blaster to review. It arrived a few days before half term and so I knew that they would have lots of fun with it over the holidays.
The main features of the Nerf Zombie Strike Flipfury Blaster are it can fire up to 12 darts without reloading. This is due to the two flipping dart drums which hold six darts a piece and when one drum is empty you just flip to the other one. It comes with 12 zombie strike darts but you also buy extra darts if 12 is not enough. Although be warned, the more darts you have the more there are to find in odd places throughout your house! The blaster is really easy to use, there are two triggers, the top one fires the darts and the second trigger rotates the barrels. The grey lever on the top has to be pulled back before a dart can be fired and the mechanism is very smooth. The blaster is easy to hold and isn’t too heavy for my 9 year old son.
We have some huge Nerf blasters but I much prefer this one as it takes up a lot less space and unlike the bigger ones doesn’t need batteries, which is a huge bonus. Another thing we found was if a dart jams it is very simple to remove. My sons play with Nerf blasters both inside and outside and enjoy making up lots of different games with their friends. They also enjoy using them to knock empty can over to practice their aim. We have all had a lot of fun playing with this blaster and I know my sons will enjoy playing with it over the summer.
