I recently interviewed Michelle Wright who runs her own business in the Manchester area.

 

What is the name of your business and what do you do?

What made you start your own business?

The juggle of the home/work life balance. I wanted to be there for my daughter when she was growing up.

If there was one piece of information you would pass on to someone thinking about taking that leap, what would it be?

Research into your competition and start putting in the time to build up contacts with other local businesses and groups.

What have been your biggest obstacles

Cash flow is my biggest obstacle – I have have to pay for print upfront on most occasions, and if it takes a week to print a job, then 30 days for a client to pay (if they pay on time), then at best I am without that money for 5-6 weeks.

Anything exciting coming up?

I have lots of new clients coming on board at the moment – it always amazes me how powerful recommendations and word of mouth actually is!
