Men’s Bulldog Gift Sets Review

I always find it difficult to buy men presents at Christmas. I see hundreds of gift sets, but some are over my price range and do not really look very inviting.

I was pleased when I was chosen to review two men’s gift sets from Bulldog Skincare for Men. When the box came it was quite big, so I excitedly opened it to find both of the gift sets are a good size and individually look good enough to give as a present.

Bulldog were founded in 2005 by Simon Duffy, he was unable to find the right skin care product for himself, he used products but did not love any. It does not matter what skin type you are Bulldog has a range that would suit you, normal, sensitive, oily and mature.

Most of the products are made within the U.K. They contain natural ingredients which is what most of us are looking for. The original range include green tea, aloe vera and camelina. These are combined with manmade ingredients for ultimate performance.

Ingredients from animal sources are not used and are certified by cruelty free international. All the products are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. The company have never used plastic micro beads, synthetic fragrances or artificial colours, so what is there not to like.

The gift sets I received are the Original Expert Shave Set (RRP: £20) and the Original Skin Care Set for Men (RRP: £15).

The Original Expert Shave Set includes a moisturiser 100ml, a bamboo razor and a shaving gel 175ml. It comes nicely presented in a gift box.

Use the moisturiser morning and night, evenly on the face and neck, a lot of people forget their neck and this is very important to moisturise, use after cleansing. This has a lovely citrus smell.

Original shave gel has to be massaged evenly on your warm wet face then you shave evenly.

Most of the men I know love to have a wet shave as they find this is the best way to get rid of stubble and gives you a real close shave. The bamboo razor is comfortable to hold and shaves even and close.

I was also sent the Original Skin Care set for Men. This came in a lovely green toiletry bag, it is very well made and big enough to fit all of your men’s bits and bob in. A lovely addition to take on your holidays. Inside is a face wash 150ml, a moisturiser 100ml and a face scrub 125ml.

The face wash you just lather up on wet skin and rinse.

To use the facial scrub you wet your face with warm water and massage a small amount of face scrub gently into the skin and rinse well.

The toiletry bag can fit more in then it already has, or you could use it for your shower gels to take to the gym.

I am sure these will make great Christmas gifts as they are excellent prices. You could buy individual products and make up your own gift set within your price range.

The sections within the website are extensive, so much to choose from that you could find something for teenage skin, your bearded man, a clean-shaven chap and those mature men that need to take a little extra care.

Bulldog has four exciting new shower gels available, these are totally environmentally friendly with 100 percent natural oils, these are original, lemon and bergamot, peppermint and eucalyptus, vetiver and black pepper. These sound so refreshing and a great pick me up, they cost a mere £3 each.

All of the packaging is recyclable. The company takes recycling very seriously and have a guide on their website which includes universal handy tips and hints regarding recycling. They even have a recycling statement you can download and read.

Products that are not opened can last 3 years from manufacture. If they are opened they are typically good for 12 months, some are 6 months. Hopefully they will not be hanging around that long!

The website has so much to choose from. It is very easy to navigate. It also has easy tips on how to look after your skin and body.

There is a great blog called the Kennel which is within the website it is very interesting and visually attractive, some of the subjects include, lifestyle switches to make for better skin, holiday packing tips, how to take care of your moustache, looking after your body this season, stubble styles, birthday gift ideas for men, looking after your beard and prepare for your wedding day.

A lot of work has gone into making the website attractive and worth spending some time to look at it as well as making purchases easy and stress free.
