Malachite Gold Necklace From Acotis Diamonds Review

A Treasure of a necklace!  New from Acotis Diamonds.  An 18ct gold plated necklace incorporating a beautiful green malachite gemstone, set in a gold decorated octagonal surround with even a tiny diamond on the side!  This delight arrives in a coffee coloured gift bag with stylish gold lettering – ‘hot diamonds x Jac Jossa’.  Inside is a premium gift box in the same colour-way with a chunky brown velour lined drawer which pulls out to reveal the necklace inside.
The gift box is high quality and beautiful in itself so there is no need for further gift wrapping from the giver – always a bonus!  The whole experience of receiving, opening, and viewing the necklace for the first time felt luxurious. Some things just make you feel special and this was one of them.

I would say that the necklace is timeless in design – that it will probably last a lifetime and be a ‘go to’ item of jewellery for all sorts of occasions. It will also be great for layering with other gold necklaces to create a different effect
The chain is strong. The minimum length is approx 40 cm and the maximum is approx 46 cm (16” – 18”) which is more than enough adjustment.  I find it perfect for many outfits and it hangs well around the neck.  This is a necklace that can be worn with ‘going out’ clothes or as every day wear but I would say it is more dressy overall.  It is gold plated silver.

The pendant loop and surround are not plain but ridged – a little bit like the rays of the sun – which is particularly nice and adds interest and detail to the piece.  Malachite is an opaque, green–banded mineral crystal with a great depth to the colour and a slight milkiness. It is not a stone that I have come across before – but it is gorgeous! And such a strong green that it will bring out the colour and pick out the green of any outfits.  The Hot Diamonds range incorporates a diamond in every piece. The diamond in this piece is one point and is in the right hand side of the pendant setting.
