MakeupBoxLDN Beauty Review

Reviewed by Debbie Talbot

My teenage daughter has amassed a huge collection of cosmetics and beauty accessories which puts my own little bag of make up to shame. She takes great pride in her appearance which is lovely. Bit by bit she is discovering items which make her life easier. We received two items from MakeupBoxLDN to review and we were soon to find out whether these products would make her life easier or not.

The first item we received was the Face It – Make Up Cloth in Pink (RRP: 12.99). Upon removing the cloth from the box, what struck me was how lovely the cloth felt and also that it was generous in size – it’s more like a small towel than a face cloth. I am a bit of a girly girl and I absolutely love the heart design. It has two pockets that you place your hands in making it so easy to use.

My daughter has been using the cloth a lot and it is a godsend for hard to remove make up and it also seems to gently exfoliate her skin. Being a teenager, her skin can be problematic but this cloth seems to leave her skin looking and feeling so healthy. I have already mentioned that the cloth is soft, this is because it’s made from microfibre fabric. It’s clearly quality material too. There’s nothing worse than using rough material on your face.

My daughter found the process to simple. She literally had to just add water, place her hands in the pockets and move it in an upwards circular motion. The fact that this cloth is suitable for all skin types is a plus too, my own skin can be changeable at times. I think that when you compare the cost of this cloth to buying packs of make-up wipes which you throw away, it is such good value and it does a better job of removing make-up and cleansing your face.

High up on my list of reasons I love this cloth is that it saves on waste. As great as disposable make-up wipes are, I do like to do my bit for the environment.

The second item we received was a Lilibeth of New York Brow Shaper (RRP: from £7.49). They are available in several colours and we were delighted to receive one in a vibrant pink shade. It’s small and does not take up too much space in my daughter’s huge cosmetics collection. The Lilibeth logo is printed on both sides of the brow shaper in a silver metallic italic font.

What I like most about it, from a parent’s point of view is that you can fold over the sharp edge. My daughter likes to save money by doing her own eyebrows and these have been so handy for her. I love its shape. It’s perfectly contoured for holding comfortably. My daughter has preferred the way her eyebrows look since receiving this handy tool. It’s made from quality materials and I can see it standing the test of time. It’s definitely become an essential part of her make up accessories. Price from £7.49 it is good value because of its quality.

In conclusion, both of the above items made my daughter’s life easier and I would recommend them wholeheartedly to others.
