Colgate ProClinical 250+ Electric Toothbrush Review

Reviewed by Paul Magnan
I am a huge believer in looking after your body. Having nice clean teeth definitely is a boost for my, sometimes lacking, self-confidence. I am a huge fan of electric toothbrushes as I think that they clean teeth much more effectively. What I am not so keen on is the amount of space my old electric toothbrush took up in my luggage whenever I went away on holiday or on a short break. I was therefore over the moon to be sent the Colgate ProClinical 250+ Electric Toothbrush to review.
When I am being sent something, I get very excited, so I was glad that the toothbrush arrived promptly and in perfect condition. I received a bold pink toothbrush, other colours available are black and white. This, being both slim and lightweight, is the perfect size to take away on my travelling adventures.
Now for the technical stuff. This toothbrush has up to 30,000 strokes per minute. Not only does it have a 2 minute timer, this is split up into 4x 30 seconds segments so that you know how long to spend brushing each area of your mouth. No more running out after 2 minutes with a section of your mouth still to clean. In the box was the toothbrush, a replaceable brush head and the charging base/lead. The plug was a 2 pin type for bathrooms, but like a lot of households I had an adapter readily available to use.
As well as looking so stylish, I could tell the difference between this and my old electric toothbrush. With this one my mouth felt much cleaner. I felt like more plaque was being removed than with my previous one. My teeth looked healthier too. Whilst it did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth it was really gentle on my gums. The spiral bristles are designed to remove surface stains and work well. Whilst just one brush head was included, more can be purchased online or from high street retailers for a reasonable charge.
I plan to change the brush head every 3 months which is in line with recommendations. The instructions are easy to follow and once fully charged, the toothbrush can be used for a long time before it needs recharging. This toothbrush is so simple yet does so many important jobs at once. It even polishes your teeth. The head is made compact with the purpose of cleaning your back teeth. I was already a fan of Colgate toothpaste and am now a big fan of their toothbrushes. I would not go back to my old toothbrush now.
At the time of writing, this toothbrush is currently on sale on Amazon and can be purchased for £14.95 making it even better value (RRP: £49.99). At this price, I am considering buying one for other family members.
If you are, like me, thinking about an escape abroad for some winter sun, this toothbrush would be perfect to take along. It would also make a lovely Christmas Gift for a loved one.
I would recommend this toothbrush to others and give it a rating of 5/5.
