The Little’s gift set arrived within a few days and in a very sturdy, recyclable, cardboard box. It was however easy to open. All the packaging, including the coffee jars and lids can all be recycled which is a great selling point.
When you open the box there are 3 50g jars of coffee. The jars are brightly packaged and very eye catching.
We had 3 different flavours in our box, pumpkin spice, rich hazelnut and French vanilla. The gift set also came with a little Graze sticky toffee biscuit, to enjoy with your coffee.
We are coffee lovers in our house so it was great to be able to sample a different product. With a 16 year old who loves takeaway coffee, especially the flavoured versions, it was a good opportunity to see if his favourites could be made at home.
We sampled the instant coffee but Little’s also sell capsules for coffee machines and ground coffee. The capsules fit Nespresso machine and Little’s offer pod recycling, so the user can easily recycle them.
Little’s have different gift pack options containing various flavours, so you can tailor your gift to the recipient. There is a boozy flavour set and a chocolate lovers set available.
The flavours available include double chocolate, gingerbread cookie, Havana rum and Christmas sprit. Little’s also offer decaffeinated versions of all of the flavoured coffees, and they also sell unflavoured coffee in larger 100g jars, this range also includes an organic coffee.
The Little’s website states that they are a rabble of coffee lovers who want to provide quality, tasty coffee that doesn’t cost the earth. Flavour is the key.
The rich hazelnut and French vanilla coffee smelt amazing when you pulled back the lid. The hazelnut coffee had a nice flavour, was smooth and very drinkable. The French vanilla coffee also had a great taste. The vanilla was not overpowering and tasted just right. Both of these coffees are perfect for everyday coffee consumption.
The pumpkin spice coffee was our least favourite. It seemed to lack something but I could not quite put my finger on it. I think maybe the taste was a little mild for my taste buds.
The coffee is 100% Arabica coffee with no added sugar and the packaging says that there is approximately 4 calories per serving.
You can buy the littles coffee gift sets and the individual coffee jars directly from their website which is wearelittles.com, from amazon.co.uk and also various supermarkets including Ocado and Sainsbury’s.
From Little’s the jars are £3.50 for 50g but you can mix and match six flavours for £19.00. The sets are £12.00 for 3 jars. The 50g jar contains 25 servings.
In my opinion the gift sets would make great stocking fillers for coffee loving family and friends or as a secret Santa gift for a work colleague. The individual jars are also great for general use at home as an alternative to the usual coffee brands due to the extensive range of flavours available, the price point and the environmentally friendly packaging.
