Let It Be
Savoy Theatre, London
Running until 8 February 2014

What a fab time we had at the Savoy Theatre last night! We were there to see Let It Be, a jam packed concert celebrating 50 years of The Beatles, featuring 40 of their greatest hit.
On arrival the staff were friendly and welcoming the theatre goers as we arrived. Our tickets were waiting for us at the box office along with a complimentary programme. We had seat 8 & 9 in row E, a great view right in front of the stage.
Although the theatre is small, it was the perfect location for this show and made you feel like you were in 'the Cavern'!
Right from the moment the curtain went up it was full on entertainment. There wasn't a chance to catch your breath before the lads on stage transported you back to the swinging 60's.
At least 20 songs in succession took us up to the interval.
The audience were clapping, singing, dancing and waving their hands in the air!
Not only was the music fantastic but the artists with their uncanny resemblance to the 'real fab four' took us through the years with their period outfits, wacky hairstyles and black & white clips of the era on the screens situated above stage.
At interval we had 2 large glasses of red wine and my only criticism was the price, £18, but hey this is London, West End Theatreland!
The 2nd half of the show was equally good with another 20 songs. Although I was born late 60's I knew all the songs and thoroughly enjoyed singing along!
I would recommend this show for music lovers young and old. I would go see it again!
Tickets cost from £15 to £90 plus £3 transaction fee.
