Oh my days, this is the softest baby item I have ever felt! As soon as I opened it, I had to cuddle it! It’s that soft! It is 97% Bamboo, which accounts for this incredible softness, and it has been made without any nasty chemicals and carries the Standard 100 by OEKO TEX certification to show this.
Kyte Baby, is a company run by parents and they are fantastically eco-friendly. If you’re conscious about the planet and waste, as well as wanting items researched for actual babies and not profits, then look no further than Kyte Baby.
Baby, is five months old and heading into 6-9 month clothing. Looking for the perfect sleep clothing is high on our priority list, as sleep is so important. We’d tried other sleeping bags which we’d had passed on, but they weren’t what I was looking for, then I was lucky enough to be offered a sleep bag from Kyte Baby to review. It really is the best sleeping bag we’ve tried, across all of the children. The sleeping bag is in colour mist, which is a lovely pale blue, a little lighter than baby blue. I was offered a 1 tog sleeping bag, which is perfect for these warmer nights, when baby needs to be covered but not in anything too thick.
The inside is white. Baby was lovely and cool on the warmer nights and wasn’t sweaty at all. With the sleeping bag being bamboo, it kept baby cooler and is breathable. They offer smaller swaddle sleeping bags for smaller babies.
The neck hole is a great size, just right so baby doesn’t slip down into the bag and the same with the arm holes. It is a little big at the moment, as baby is just going into 6-9 clothes, but I feel it was the right choice as it will last a long time, and there is plenty of leg room for those wriggly legs.
There is a zip all around the side, leading to the top where it is covered with a piece of fabric to keep the top of the zip away from baby. The zip is great placement wise and is long enough so that you can change baby without taking off the whole thing. It is also a double zip, so you can undo it from the bottom or from the top, depending on what is easier. If you can master sleeping nappy changes, then this sleeping bag is for you!
The item washes well I only had chance to wash it once over the week, but it dries lovely and didn’t lose any of it’s softness.
I did have the opportunity to speak with their customer service prior to the item arriving, and they were so polite and genuinely helpful, which is exactly what you need. They helped me choose the correct size so that it wasn’t too small nor too big when it arrived for us to test. So thank you for that Kyte Baby.
This would make an excellent gift for parents, and a perfect addition to your child’s wardrobe as the temperatures continue to fluctuate. You won’t need several blankets or other bags, just one will do the trick. You can find a handy guide to which tog and size you need on their website.
You can find the sleeping bag here https://kytebaby.com/en-uk/collections/sleep-bags/products/sleep-bag-in-mist-1-0 for an RRP of £50. For the quality and gorgeousness of this item, paired with how long it will last, I feel this is a really reasonable price point.
Baby and I gave this 5 out of 5 stars, it was so soft and comfortable (obviously baby couldn’t tell me this, but it was clear to see as they slept well in it).
