Firstly I love the packaging on this till, the colours and design is great.
This solid wooden cash register from John Lewis comes with a pretend scanner, a till roll, a chip and pin reader, a John Lewis credit card and coins, everything children need to play shop!
My children have played with tills before but they were excited to unwrap this one of their very own. The till was a nice weight and felt good quality, wooden toys have such a lovely feel about them and this one is no different.
The fact that they have to use their imagination more due to there being no electronic gimmicks is a major plus point to us as parents. They enjoy it too and get immersed in their game of ‘shop’. They particularly liked the till roll paper, ‘writing’ receipts for their ‘customers’. The ping when the till opens is a nice addition. The buttons press in and being able to write on the display with the chalk is great. They did charge me £30 for teddy though! Good job they don’t yet know the value of the play money!
We had great fun with this item and it’s a nice addition in their play room. They only thing that I think would make this better is more play money, such as paper notes.
