Have you seen the Lighthouse’s programme lately? There’s just so much variety from one man shows, to comedians, to plays fresh from the Fringe or the West End! Here’s another one to hit the stage in October… the legend that is Jenny Éclair! With over 40 years on the stage,

Hot off the release of her Jokes, Jokes, Jokes memoir, Jenny Éclair is hitting the Lighthouse stage in her live show of the same name. Comedian, novelist, and professional show-off, she returns to Poole on Thursday 16 October to tickle our funny bones and make us laugh!

So what should we expect from Jenny’s whistle stop tour of the last 40 years from drama school (mostly drinking cider and eating sausage rolls), sleeping with men who looked like they lived under a carpet, punk poetry, anorexia, bedsit misery, waitressing and not really having a clue about anything, to being the first woman to win the Perrier Award, becoming a mother, author, grumpy old woman (in a nod to her podcast), podcaster and nana! There’s a lot to cram in!

Still gigging to sell-out crowds 40 years later, Jenny invites you to look back at what she can remember before she forgets everything. I’ve been warned to expect …. punk poetry, animal impressions and baritone nursery rhyme singing may feature, so … something for everyone!
