We are now well into the full swing of summer here in Bournemouth, so what’s better than enjoying your favourite picnic food with some fantastic music from the amazing musicians of the BSO, with a lovely green space as the backdrop? The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra will be bringing their Classical Extravaganza 2.0 to Meyrick Park on Friday 8th August at 8pm.
This open-air concert is one not to miss and will include classical music from Tchaikovsky, Dvorak, Sibelius and Elgar, to name a few, along with stirring scores from the legendary film maestro John Williams. Expect familiar favourites and breath taking arrangements that will stir the soul. The evening will end in spectacular style with a stunning pyrotechnic and fireworks display to accompany the music.
The concert will be conducted by the BSO’s calleva assistant conductor, Enyi Okpara, whose energy and passion bring these timeless pieces to life in an unforgettable way.
Bring something to sit on so you can make yourself comfortable, your favourite picnic food to feast on together with a few drinks, family and friends, and enjoy the summer’s evening under the stars. It’s the perfect way to soak up the season, surrounded by beautiful live music and the natural charm of Meyrick Park.
