Like a lot of women and especially us mums I love to indulge in some me time luxuriating in a warm scented bath, so I was delighted to be chosen to review the Grace Cole Bathing Set. It arrived yesterday and I just couldn’t wait to try it all out.

I had not heard of this company before so before I received my goodies I did a little research on the internet and was pleased to find it is a family run company based in Cheshire, who distribute their beauty and bathing products to over 70 countries. With some of their products manufactured here in the UK too. Their products are widely available in stores such as Boots, Superdrug and even Harrods! If you like internet shopping you won’t be disappointed to find that they are available to buy in their online shop too.

So it arrived in all is gorgeous black and gold boxed glory! The packaging was beautiful, really draws you to it, exuding luxury and you just want to dive in. The set had absolutely everything you would ever want or need to bring a little spa luxury into your home. My set included:  Bath Caviar,  Bath Essence, Body Polish, Body Wash, Body Cream, Body Butter and 2 mini bath fizzers, all in the glorious White Nectarine and Pear fragrance.

The Bath Caviar was a new style of product to me and was very like bath ‘salts’, my best description of it. Each products opening was securely covered to prevent leaks with a mini sticky cover over the opening, I would suggest removing these before getting into the bath as they could be a little tricky to get off but worth it to prevent leaks!

I put a little of the bath caviar into the warm water and immediately the scent of nectarines, slightly zesty but warm and inviting filled my bathroom with a fruity afternote. I then put a little bath essence in, I love my bubbles in my bath, and I didn’t need much to fill the bath with gorgeous fluffy bubbles (which lasted to the end of my bath!).

As my skin has become very dry already I wanted to try out the body polish. The polish was ideal, especially if you don’t like the beads to be too rough, just enough pressure helped slough off any dry bits on my skin so this is perfect if you wanted to use everyday. My skin felt smooth, and moisturised all at once, it has extracts of honey, lychee and white willow combining to bring this fragrance to life. I loved the scent.

I couldn’t resist popping in one of the mini bath fizzers… it popped and fizzed and lifted the fragrance even more.

After luxuriating in this mini spa I used the body wash which was thick and luxurious so only a little was needed. After bathing you have the choice of either a body cream or a body butter. I personally prefer body butters after a bath but for everyday use I like a body cream as I feel it soaks into your skin quicker. However I tried both, one on each arm to begin with. The body butter is just gorgeous, with extracts of shea butter in it you feel it hydrating your skin and although thick and creamy it soaked in quickly and the fragrance was gorgeous, again I found a little went a long way so although you may think it is quite a small tub I could imagine this lasting quite a long time. The cream, although more of a lotion was just as nice, with both of them leaving my skin silky soft.

My bathroom was transformed into a mini spa for the night and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. I love ‘layering’ my fragrance which helps to keep you smelling gorgeous longer and these products worked beautifully to do just that.

The fragrance was quite subtle so not overpowering, just enough zestiness to be a more relaxing warm fragrance which I loved. I am so pleased to have found a new product that I can continue buying. The whole range is excellent value for money and to top it all they look gorgeous in my bathroom!

5* from me – I love this range!
