You might have noticed Daniel Footwear stores in your high-street or retail park. There are over twenty of them throughout the UK, but did you know they also operate a fantastic online store?

Daniel Footwear offers a massive range of designer shoes (men’s, women’s and children’s). Alongside their own Daniel brand of footwear, you can find styles by Vivienne Westwood, DKNY, UGG, Roman Rock, FitFlop, Urban Fly, and many others. I counted over ninety designers on their website.

I was recently asked to select and review a pair of shoes from their website. I must admit I was a bit hesitant. I’ve been a bit slow joining in with online purchasing of clothes and shoes; I can’t say why – it’s not as though I enjoy high-street shopping very much. Books, CD, and DVDs, they’ve never been a problem. However, when it comes to wearable items, I’ve always had a fear of ordering incorrect sizes and then having the hassle of repackaging and returning everything.

During lock-down, however, I was given this opportunity to venture into new territory.

I browsed Daniel Footwear’s website and noticed immediately the massive level of discount offered. I selected a pair of Men’s Black Suede Tie Front Casual Loafers designed and manufactured by Roman Rock (Manuel Verdu branding). These were reduced by 47%, from an rrp of £94.99 to an extremely reasonable £49.99. I’ve seen higher discounts than this on their website. During their recent sale, reductions of up to 70% could be found.

After selection, a few days later the shoes arrived. They were securely packaged, but I’m pleased to say that, unlike a lot of online retailers, excessive packaging had not been used(the shoes were in a cardboard shoebox with an outer plastic bag).
The shoes themselves were excellent. They matched the description and picture entirely, and you could immediately see and feel their high quality.

Unfortunately, I then hit a problem, they didn’t fit. I’d ordered a size 9, and that was clearly marked on the shoes, Daniel Footwear had sent me exactly what I had ordered, unfortunately, Manuel Verdu /Roman Rock’s size 9 must be on the small side.

However, this initial disappointment meant that I could now experience Daniel Footwear’s brilliant returns policy.

All shoes can be returned free of charge within 28 days. Following Daniel’s instructions, I simply went onto their website, downloaded the free returns label. I attached it to the packaging the shoes came it (remember to enclose the returns form indicating why you are returning the items). I then took the parcel to my local post office, received a receipt, and away they went.

Sometime later, I received a replacement pair of shoes, and these fitted perfectly.

The experience has completely alleviated my fears of purchasing shoes online, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use Daniel Footwear again. However, if you are still hesitant to order shoes online, you can find your nearest Daniel Footwear physical outlet by using the store locater on their website. A click and collect service is available (again full details can be found on their website).

I’d highly recommend this outlet. The range of shoes and reductions are incredible from boots to slippers (and everything in between). The selections change regularly, so keep checking their website. It’s the ideal site to purchase birthday gifts (they also offer a range of accessories Handbags, purses, wallets etc.). With Christmas, on the horizon, it’s worthwhile considering purchasing some Daniel Footwear items as Xmas gifts.

Due to their efficient service, I was a delighted customer.
