Frozen Band Set Review
Frozen Band Set
Reviewed by Dianne Shaw
The box arrived and the children were excited when they saw it, it was brightly packaged , clearly marked with Frozen characters and the toys looked inviting to play with.
The box contained 1 recorder, 1 drum, 1 tambourine, 1 xylophone and stick.
Once opened the children aged 3 and 6 had turns with each instrument, there were Frozen characters on each item and the children chose their favourites. They played happily for around half an hour pretending to be in a band and trying to play tunes from Frozen, in general just having fun trying out the different instruments before they decided to move onto something else. However they did return to the items later on to play with again and have continued to do so over the last few days.
The instruments were of reasonable quality, part of the xylophone did come off at the hands of a boisterous 3 year old, however the drum and recorder were of better build.
The sound quality was not excellent however, I wasn’t expecting this and the children certainly didn’t notice, I can’t say the same for the adults whose ears were definitely worn out after a half hour of children’s attempts of recreating “Let it go”.
The set was totally age appropriate and for both genders, mine are a boy and a girl and they both had great fun playing with it.
It was a fun toy for the children, I wouldn’t describe it as a sturdy, long lasting item however the recorder and the drum have survived, the xylophone ended up in the bin with its broken part and I think the tambourine was taken to nursery.
It’s not a toy I would buy as a main present as the quality wasn’t excellent however as something to keep your young ones occupied and having fun for a short time I would say it’s perfect.
I would probably give it 3 out of 5, I would have given it more had the xylophone not broken.
