Frankie & Benny’s Stafford Review

Frankie & Benny’s Stafford is set on shopping retail park and very easy to find. There is a small parking area situated in front of the building. The building itself is a large converted Manor House which is very attractive. Outside is a seated area with benches and tables to enjoy a meal or even a cocktail in the sun.

As we entered the building we was immediately greeted by our waitress who showed us to our table, took our drinks order and gave us a menu to peruse. My daughter was given an activity pack which kept her occupied until her meal arrived.

The drinks were served in no time, all soft drinks/hot drinks are refillable which is a bonus.

The restaurant is set on three floors with toilets situated on the first floor. The restaurant is accessible for pushchairs and wheelchairs and there is also a lift to take you to the upstairs amenities. The restaurant is well maintained and very clean, the toilets are likewise and checked regularly.

There is a nice relaxed atmosphere within the restaurant with booths and an open kitchen so you can see your food being cooked.

There is a selection of tables and booths within the restaurant .The only problem I encounted with the booth we sat in was when a party sat on the booth behind us we felt a bit enclosed as they were too close together.

The lunchtime menu consists of a selection of 5 starters priced at £2.50, 7 mains priced at £5.95, 7 mains priced at £6.95, 9 mains priced at £7.95 and only 4 deserts priced at £2.50. There is a good range of starters and main courses but I think there should be more deserts to choose from.

Our starters, which were amazing skins (crispy bacon and cheddar cheese) and crispy coated chicken strips were served in a timely manner. Both starters were extremely tasty and generous servings for the price. The chicken strips are so good they reminded me of a well-known take-away chicken franchise, which is a huge compliment.

We chose a main course off the children’s menu for our daughter who is 5. Again there is plenty to choose from and there is even a choice of larger servings for older children. The children’s menu is designed in a kid friendly manor with a wide selection of meals to suit all.

Our main courses were served really speedily, we were asked by our server if we wanted a refill for our drinks, and new drinks were brought to our table.

The child portion of sausage and mash came with a side of vegetables, the sausage was very tasty and flavoursome but a bit too extravagant for a child palate.

We had the calzone and the Philly burger, both were large servings we couldn’t finish everything but thoroughly enjoyed every bite and would strongly recommend.

Our plates were cleared and we were given the deserts and hot drinks menus. I ordered a vanilla latte which was top quality I’d even say it tasted better than high street coffee establishments.

My daughter ordered the ice cream Candy Shop which is only £1.95! It comes served in a wooden crate with 3 bottles of sweets, a bowl of marshmallows, a jug of chocolate sauce, popping candy and a large bowl of ice cream. There is a sweetie bag to take home any treats you may have left over.

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it, I think that for the price of £1.95 it’s a bargain you get so much for this low price. I would even order it myself next time I go.

You can tell that the staff at Frankie & Benny’s are highly trained, the customer service we received from our waitress and the manager was second to none, they were highly attentive and really customer focussed. We were made to feel valued as customers.

I would eat at this Frankie & Benny’s restaurant again, as a family and as a couple. The restaurant, food and staff has made a good impression on us and I will be recommending it to all my friends and family. The food is of a high standard and at the same time good value for money. It caters for all ages and is very family friendly.

I give Frankie & Benny’s Stafford an outstanding 5 out of 5!
