Cath Kidston 24 Day Beauty Advent Calendar From Lloyds Pharmacy

You’re never too old for an Advent calendar and if you’re a lover of bath and beauty products, this is the Advent calendar for you. I’ve used plenty of Cath Kidston products in the past and am familiar with this iconic brand so was excited to see if the 2021 beauty Advent calendar lived up their usual high standards.

On opening the Advent calendar, I was delighted to see it presented in a vintage-inspired book style box, wrapped in rosebuds, and decorated with a traditional and enchanting Christmas scene, complete with Christmas tree, reindeer, turtle doves and a snowy festive village. The inside of the Advent calendar is even more beautiful than the front cover. The lyrics to the classic Christmas carol ‘The Twelve Days of Christmas’ adorn the pages and are illustrated in a characteristic and authentic Cath Kidston kitsch design. Measuring 8 x 23 x 32cm and described as a jolly scene filled with Cath Kidston magical details, this 24-day Advent calendar would look great on any sideboard or dressing table. It really feels like a high-quality product and is the perfect way to kick off the festive period.

The Advent calendar contains a wide variety of bath and body products including hand crème, lip balm, body scrub, bath salts, body lotion, body wash, bath fizzer, scented soap, and bubble bath. I’ve tried several of these bath and beauty products and really enjoy the scent and texture of them. Each one is enriched with skin-loving essential oils, shea butter and floral extracts. They feel luxurious on the skin and hold their scent for a long period of time.
There are six enticing scents included, these are:
Cassis and Rose (blackcurrant berries, roses, jasmine, and soft moss),
Wild Barley and Meadows (notes of bergamot, woods filled with wildflowers and musk),
Magical Woodland (scents of English chamomile, lavender, and clary sage essential oils),
London People (a refreshing blend of breakfast tea served with zesty bergamot, jasmine amber, musk, and precious woods), Red Berry and Cedar (notes of pine needles, cedarwood, red berries and candied sugar),
Pomegranate and Plum (fruity pomegranate and plum notes blended with dark spices and white florals on a cashmere and woody base).

Each scent is well thought through and unique. I think they are an excellent and complimentary assortment of scents which work well with the bath and beauty items included. My favourite is the Red Berry and Cedar, the design of the packaging and scent really encapsulate the essence of Christmas.

As well as being the perfect size for your handbag, these travel sized products would be great if you are having a weekend away and are also certified cruelty-free, vegan friendly and PETA approved. The packaging is made from responsible sources and the products have a shelf life of 12 months. This fun and festive Advent calendar really is Cath Kidston at her finest.

This Advent calendar is currently on offer for £33.33 at Lloyds Pharmacy (editor’s note – at the time of writing the review) which is a price drop of £16.67 and I think it is well worth the money and would make a lovely present for yourself or a loved one. If you don’t have the budget for this Advent calendar a top tip is to buy it with some work colleagues and enjoy taking turns to open the doors throughout the month of December. The perfect pre-Christmas treat for you and your team to brighten up the dull and dark December days
