Yesterday evening I was extremely lucky to have the opportunity of seeing master illusionist Derren Brown’s new stage show, Miracle, at the Lowry Theatre in Salford, Manchester. I am a big fan of him so I was very excited at the prospect of seeing this spectacular production.

On arriving at the theatre, we were quickly shown to our seats by a helpful member of staff. The Lowry is a very impressive theatre, with nearby shops, cafes, bars and great transport links, in fact everything you need for a great night out.

As is the norm for Darren Brown’s shows, we were all sworn to secrecy so that we could not spoil the performance for future audiences, so I am not allowed to reveal any of the details of this fantastic two hour production which left us spellbound. All I can say is that I have never enjoyed a show so much.

Derren came onto the stage to rapturous applause from a packed out audience of over two thousand people. There was plenty of participation from the crowd, as he threw frisbees, a balloon and sweets, encouraging random volunteers to join in with his show. I am in no doubt that these audience members were not stooges and were just people picked out randomly. He mesmerised his fans with trickery and illusions, involving members of the audience every step of the way. He really is a master showman, amazing us with his magic. Some of his stunts were mind-blowing and I could not take my eyes off him for a second in case I missed any part of his act. There were also plenty of comedy moments, both from the audience reacting what Brown had said and from the man himself, who is extremely witty.

I had an amazing evening watching Derren Brown. This is an extremely entertaining performance and I would recommend that you go and see it for yourself.
