D’Alchemy Micellar Cleansing Water is a gentle make up remover which has been designed for especially demanding mature skin and based on Rose Hydrosol. It is rich in natural plant extracts with antiseptic soothing and anti aging properties.
D’Alchemy Micellar Cleansing Water is stylishly packaged in a black glass bottle. It’s fine spray nozzle helps to dispense just the right amount of the product onto cotton wool. It smells gorgeous and every time I use it I am transported back into a spa. The smell alone has added a real feeling of luxury to my daily skin care routine. When you turn the bottle around the ingredients show the main ingredient is damask Rose water this is complemented with Acacia, Soap berry, Papaya, Apple, peach and grapefruit.
These ingredients have not been chosen purely for their smell. Damask Rose is a powerful antioxidant, French rose has antibacterial, tightening and toning properties. Apple and Peach along with others evens out skin tone, grapefruit cleanses and tones and papaya moisturises and mattifies.
I started using D’Alchemy Micellar Cleansing Water both morning and night. At night a couple of sprays were enough on a couple of cotton wool pads to glide over my face. Swiftly removing the trace of the days make up. I paused for a few moments over my eyes to let it get a grip on my mascara before sliding the wool away again taking away the mascara. In the morning I gave a couple of sprays just to freshen up after washing my face.
I can be prone to sensitive skin but I have not had any reaction or discomfort using D’Alchemy Micellar Cleansing Water. Reading the label it is free from a number of nasties such as Parabens, Sulfates, Petrolatum, Paraffin and lanolin, which is probably the reason it is so kind to the skin.
D’Alchemy Micellar Cleansing Water is dermatologically tested. I prefer natural skin care products and was happy to see that it is also vegan friendly with 100% vegetarian ingredients and not tested on animals.
After a week of using D’Alchemy Micellar Cleansing Water I can see a difference in my skin. It feels clearer, smoother and less clogged! Back to the ingredients list and I notice Ginseng root. Research has suggested that Ginseng root helps boost skin hydration and helps to even out skin texture and tone.
It is suggested that after using D’Alchemy Micellar Cleansing Water you should use a toner to restore proper PH to your skin. Personally I did not use a toner with the product, just my standard serums and moisturisers. I have been so impressed with the cleansing water I will be looking to buy more products from the D’Alchemy range, including a toner!
I would rate D’Alchemy Micellar Cleansing Water 5/5. The RRP is (€) 35 which as of may 2020 is just over £31 and it can be bought from https://dalchemyskincare.com/
