With the children’s 6 weeks holidays in full force, I’m always on the lookout for a new place to visit. Both of my children have a sweet tooth and a new dessert place is always welcomed with open arms, so I was very excited to be invited to review Creams Café. The chain has an extensive list of cafes across the UK and I was pleased to see that we have 2 local to us in Manchester, one being in the Arndale Centre and the other being in Cheetham Hill. I decided the best option for us would be the Manchester Arndale centre as we would tie it in with a bit of shopping afterwards.

We visited just after lunch time and were welcomed by very friendly staff who seated us in a booth and gave us the menus to view. We were pleased to see a great selection of desserts and drinks along with some savoury items too. The menu was easy to navigate through with a different page for each type of dessert. You could choose from waffles, crepes, cookie dough, sundaes, donuts, milkshakes, gelatos and sorbets with savoury items such as nachos. There is also a selection of vegan items to choose from, in addition to a children’s menu.

The menu has lots of imagery to help you choose your order but there is also the Instagram page for Creams Café UK and also Creams Café Arndale where you can see images of the desserts prior to your visit. I find this a really helpful tool as I like to come prepared when I eat out or I get overwhelmed with a menu.

We were gifted a £50 voucher for 2 adults and 2 children (editor’s note – for the purposes of writing a review) and we managed to spend all of this ordering 4 desserts off the adult menu as well as a drink each. The average price of a dessert was £7-10 so it was very reasonable and a lot cheaper than some other dessert places in the city centre we have previously visited. Once we had chosen what we would like to try, I went to the till to order. The process was very easy and the attentive member of staff was helpful and prompt taking the order. I ordered Strawberry Indulgence waffles which was Fresh sliced strawberries drizzled with milk chocolate sauce and milk chocolate shavings. My husband opted for strawberry and banana waffles which was Freshly sliced strawberries and banana, milk chocolate sauce, milk chocolate shavings, Vanilla gelato and a Creams wafer. My son had Chocolate Obsession Crepe – Hot chocolate cake, lashings of milk chocolate sauce, milk chocolate shavings, Chocolate Chip gelato, and a Creams wafer- and a banana milkshake. My daughter had Creams’atella- Milk chocolate cookie dough with lashings of Creams-a’tella sauce, milk chocolate shavings, Chocolate Chip gelato and a Creams wafer- and strawberry and mango bubble slush. The eye watering desserts were brought to us timely and did not disappoint. We were all hugely impressed with the taste and quality of our desserts and wolfed them down happily.

Creams Café Arndale is situated in the middle of the Arndale shopping centre just off the Market Street entrance. It’s really easy to find and if in doubt, use Google maps, that’s what I did… it has a really attractive design, is very clean and has a good sized, spacious layout.

Overall, we were hugely impressed with Creams Café Arndale. The prices are great, the menu extensive and the service second to none. We would rate it 5/5 and we will definitely be returning.

Rating: 5/5
