Comme De Jumelles Little Kiss Stocking Filler Review

Great to be offered the opportunity to try a natural beauty product and something totally new to me. I had not heard Comme de Jumelles or their product Little Kiss Stocking Filler before, so I started by trying to find something out about both. Looking on their website, I was able to find that Comme de Jumelles is the creation of a French mother of three girls. She says ‘I have been imagining and creating a brand that celebrates not only beautiful skin but the amazing bonds between mums and daughters. Gradually I’ve designed a range of simple, effective products that are natural and eco-friendly.’

This appears to be a new brand to the U.K. market and is quite an innovative concept. It is one I’m certainly not familiar with, however, being the step mum of two girls (now grown women) I can see that when they were younger, they would have loved to be able to share a pampering beauty treatment with me.

The product I received is a trial size and contains two 20ml items which were packaged in a pale pink cardboard outer decorated with pretty darker pink and blue flowers. Inside the package I found two pink tins, one containing Comme Une Caress which is a hand and body lotion and the other contained Magic Gelee, which is two products in one, a cleanser and hydrating mask.

The Comme Une Caress is a light cream/lotion, it is quite runny in consistency and a greyish white colour. It has a very light sweet fragrance that I can’t quite define. The ingredients include apricot oil, jojoba, Shea butter and vanilla. Although the texture is very light, I find it extremely moisturising on my very dry skin. It is easily absorbed, and my skin felt amazing after applying it. A little goes a long way too.

The Magic Gelee, is also a runny consistency and is a pale golden colour. It has an almost delicately chocolate smell. The ingredients include sweet almond, grape seed oil, apricot oil and raspberry oil. This product is massaged onto the face and neck with the fingers. It feels very smooth when applied and glides onto the skin. After massaging in it easily rinsed off with water. When water is mixed with the Gelee it instantly turns to a milky consistency and dissolves away. For additional moisture the Magic Gelee can be left on the face for up to 20 minutes as a mask. Even after using it as a cleanser my skin felt very hydrated and soft.

I like that the packaging is simple and there is no plastic which is environmentally friendly and that 96% of the ingredients are naturally derived. The pretty pink tins are very girly and appealing for younger users. The full size products are available in 200ml bottles. The Comme Une Caress is £42.00 and the Magic Gelee is £52.00, or they can be purchased together in a pamper box which retails at £85.00.

These products could be a lovely way for mums to introduce daughters to a beauty routine and share quality time together. The Little Kiss Stocking filler would make a fabulous gift for Christmas.
