This festive pantomime exceeded all of my expectations. I was not expecting it to be as hilarious as it was.
I attended the show with my partner and some friends on opening night. We found the staff very attentive and were quickly in our seats ready for the show to begin.
One of the most impressive aspects of the production was the costumes that were worn by the cast. They were very imaginative, more specifically the Baroness Bunty Hard-up and the two ugly sisters Salmonella and Rubella who’s costumes were side-splitting. These were the most amusing characters by far, bringing bundles of humour and in fact making the show a huge success with the whole audience.
The thing I found most extra special about this pantomime was the modern aspect it brought. The music was current and relevant; it included Gangnam Style which was done as Hard-up style for the ugly sisters. I laughed all the way though this performance and was my favourite bit of the show.
A particular part of the show which brought the pantomime to the 21st century included gunge being poured over Buttons, this had the audience in hysterics laughing.
Although the story has a modern twist, it still stays true to the lovable story of Cinderella, and she finds her price charming after all.
The time absolutely flew from entering the theatre to leaving as the show was excellent.
Overall, a brilliant night out for all the family I would recommend to anyone.
