When I opened the delivery box I knew I was in for something special. As I unwrapped the crisp white tissue paper I found the most beautiful gift box. The gift box had a hand tied bow with a sweet posy of white roses and a hand written note of congratulations from the Bumbles and Boo team. Such a nice touch.
The gift box itself is a case/trunk, very vintage looking in a gorgeous blue colour decorated with flowers. As I opened the box I found a silver star money box, a wooden rattle, a super soft lamb comforter and a large nursing muslin blanket.
The Louie the lamb gift set is a part of Bumbles and Boo’s Bridgerton collection, this shows in the beautiful design inside and outside of the case, I love the vintage look. The case itself is of excellent quality, really sturdy, with a sweet little hand and clasp to keep it closed. Once all the packaging had been removed it is a great size, enabling you to store all of your baby memories in such as their birth certificate or first tooth, and heaps of baby photos. Being so beautiful you don’t need to hide it away, it would look gorgeous on and book shelf. According to the website the case’s dimensions are L 29 cm, W9.5cm x H 20 cm.
Everything in the case is of exceptional quality, Louie the lamb is adorable, he is super soft and is sure to be a baby’s favourite comforter. Louie is made out of 100% recycled materials, making him not only gorgeous but eco-friendly.
The wooden rattle has beads along the side designed to keep the little one occupied and is made out of 100% Fsc certified beech wood again making it eco friendly and excellent quality.
The large muslin square is really soft, it’s a fantastic idea to have this in the gift set, it’s ideal if you are breastfeeding to cover you and baby, or just to cover yourself. As I said it is really soft and 100% cotton.
My box is slightly different to the website, on the website Louie the lamb is shown with a silver brush and comb. This set retails at £114.00.
My set has a small silver money box, which makes a lovely gift. Again it’s good quality and will sit well in the baby’s room as will the memory box.
Everything in the Louie the lamb gift set is of excellent quality, everything has really been thought about, from the softness of the lamb and muslin cloth to the wooden rattle. I like the fact your child can safely chew it without ingesting any nasty plastics.
There are four gift boxes in the Bridgerton collection, Louie the lamb, Colin the rabbit, Precious Penelope and Marvellous monkey. The prices vary from £79.90 to £124.95. Louie the lamb is £114.00.
Yes they do seem expensive at first glance. I must admit when I first looked online I was a little taken back with the prices. However having received the gift box and being able to look and check the quality for myself, I would happily buy these boxes for my daughters. The reason why I changed my mind is the fact that when you first receive your gift box you know that the company has really thought about its products and you as a customer, they have taken time to hand tie the boxes, and to write a congratulations card. Everything inside is of excellent quality, everything has been thought about, from using recycled materials for the case and Louie the lamb to Fsc certified beech wood. They have considered their impact on the environment with their products which I really like, and no nasty plastics.
Bumbles and Boo have a large selection of other gifts online with varying prices, so if you do want something special it is certainly worth having a look as they have some gorgeous items.
