Build Your Own Wallace And Gromit Side Car Plane Model Kit Review

What a great product to receive in the post.  Who doesn’t love a bit of Wallace and Gromit, no matter what age you are.  I was sent this wonderful build your own slot together card board model kit. This has two models to build.  Make it into the iconic side car or the plane with 60 pieces to slot together.  We decided to build the plane. On opening the kit, I’m all for the environment so it was fantastic to see that every part including packaging can be recycled so really great on the environment.   It was quick delivery and arrived in a simple small amount of packaging so basically no wastage.  The packaging is very eye catching, with the pictures of the characters with red and green back ground which makes it all really stand out.  The pictures of the characters just make you laugh as you think of the mini films and the characters voices lol.  My older daughter 17 years old asked to sit and build the plane and really enjoyed building it.

All the pieces were all nice and easy to pop out of the pop out sheets.  The only slight negative is having to search for each part on the pop out cards rather than it being in order of the making of the model, which would make it a little more simple for younger ones trying to complete it. I really don’t feel a ten year old could build this on their own especially with the more fiddly bits in building it, so definitely a family build. Do great for family bonding lol.  The details on the inside of the model are amazing to look at and is so interesting with little details like a porridge cereal box and wires and many more amazing details outside of the plane is amazing too with the model being 3d and with it being red it makes it really stand out even more so once built, it looks wonderful.  You can open up and close the front of plane to view the interior. I love the fact that there are so many working parts on the model with a working propeller and pop out wings , and the plane wouldn’t be complete without the best character ever Gromit sitting in prime position flying it. The model comes with a very sturdy stand to display it after you have given all your time and effort making it so you and others can enjoy it forever.

This model is a fantastic 24 cm long so not a bad size for the price and any child or adult will really enjoy doing this and exploring all the secrets it is hiding with in. This can be purchased at buildyourownkits.com and amazon.co.uk at the price of £14.99.  Worth every penny.  These won’t break easily and are very indestructible and with others to collect as well.  From the Wallace and Gromit collection.  Why not just collect them all.  I DEFINITELY WILL being a fan of Wallace and Gromit myself.
