Breakdown by Sara Paretsky Review

Reviewed by Louisa Nashir

This teen book looked extremely interesting when it arrived and I could not wait to get stuck in.

The story is very in keeping with the current Twilight, Vampire Diaries etc… trend that is currently sweeping the teens of the world.

I am a huge fan of vampire and witchcraft stories so was over the moon to receive my advanced reading copy of Breakdown.

The book is set in Chicago and follows a group of teens who idolise Carmilla the shapeshifting fictional character who has teens of the world entranced.

When the teens find a body one night in a cemetery they soon begin to believe the man was murdered like a vampire would be.

It soon emerges that the teens are no ordinary teens, they all have very powerful parents who have a huge influence on the country.

The group soon find themselves in trouble when they try and find out what happened to the man in the cemetery and they soon realise they are messing with a very powerful force.

A good read with lots of energy, definitely suited to teens!
